How to send An SMS Message To A Guest via ResBook

ResBook is not only able to send emails to your guests with their booking information, but you can also send SMS messages. 

In order to activate SMS messages within ResBook, you will need to have or create an SMS Global account.  If you wish to set up SMS messaging go to Setting up SMS to communicate with guests.

Follow these steps outlined below to send an SMS:


Step 1: Open a Booking (Manual Booking Form) from the calendar, and scroll down to the bottom. Click on the [Send SMS] button. 

Step 2: Select the SMS template you wish to use.
Step 3: The editing screen will appear with your chosen template. Ensure the mobile number in the "SMS To" field is the correct format, with no spaces and the relevant country code is in front. E.g. 641234567.


Step 4: Customise the Subject line if you wish.
Step 5: Customize any changes to the text.


Step 6: Click [Send SMS] and your guest will receive the SMS message, and you will receive an email confirming that the SMS has been sent.
