Page Settings [Websites prior to 2019]

When you create a new page, it is very important to fill in the fields in the page settings tab. See below a description for each field.

URL: This is the unique identifier for the page on your website. In the example shown this will be www.yourwebsite.com/reviews

CMS Name: This is the name of the page within the CMS, so it can easily be identified in your General Pages.

Menu Label: The text in this field will create a navigation menu label

Always fill this in or it will be hard to find your page on the front-end (or if you don't want someone to see it in the menu panel, then leave it empty - you can still access it through the URL).

Footer Menu Label: The text in these fields will create menu labels in the footer of your website. Since this field isn't filled in, the location page will not appear in the footer

Slideshow: If your website design uses slideshows then this allows you to select the slideshow to use on the page you’re editing. These slideshow options are made beforehand in your slideshow module. When you click the drop down, you can see every slideshow currently active in the slideshow module.

Gallery Carousel: Similar to a slideshow, if your website design includes photo galleries on individual pages, then this allows you to select the gallery you want displayed. These are made beforehand in the gallery module.

Parent of this page: This allows you to group pages into sections. Selecting a parent will cause the page to become a sub-page of the one selected and appear in the drop-down menu for the selected parent.

About Us is a parent page, and hence appears in the main navigation panel.

Reviews is the child-page of About Us

Template: If your design contains more than one template you can choose the template style from this list.

Time-based publishing: This feature allows you to choose when a page on your website is available. This feature is great for publishing events or specials. Once the event or special has expired, then you can select a date and time to hide the page.
