Set Permission Levels (Access Group) for a User
Let's look now at the permission levels you can create and assign to people who can access the CMS, and how much control you would like to set for them to have within the CMS, with two permission levels available.
In the image below you will see a field for Access Group, with a drop-down arrow. You can see that there are two Access Groups available for a Super Administrator and a General Editor.

A Super Administrator has access to all sections of the CMS and platform content to create new, edit, delete, and publish. They have full access to the General Setting menu item in the CMS, so are unable to view or create users, or view and make changes to site Settings.
A General Editor has the same level of access as a Super Administrator to all platform content to create new, edit, delete, and publish. However, they do not have full access to the General Setting menu item in the CMS, so are unable to view or create users, or view and make changes to site Settings.
This is how the General Settings menu will look for each of the Access Group types in the CMS:

To update the permission level for each of these Access Groups, head to the General Settings section of the CMS, then select Usergroups. You will be presented with options to toggle on or off how much access you would like each CMS user to have.

Below is an overview of the settings that have been toggled on. We recommend that these settings be left as they have been set.
-
Users: Toggling on this control allows a CMS User to view the list of Users in the Users section of the CMS.
-
Change Passwords: Toggling on this control allows a CMS User to view the list of Users in the Users section of the CMS and update any Users password.
-

💡Things to Remember:
-
You are not able to change the level of permission you have for your own user account, this can only be changed by another Super Administrator.
-
Once you set a password for a New User, you will need to share this with the new user outside of the CMS, e.g.: by email.
