Cross Domain Track with ResBook

How do I Cross-Domain Track?

If you want to be able to track how your Google AdWords or Social Media campaigns are performing for you, you can track the return on your investment by adding Cross Domain Tracking on your website.  This will track guest bookings from your website through to the ResBook confirmation page.

Step 1:

Please update the tracking code on your website to the code below. Remember to replace UA-XXXXX with your own Google Analytics User Id.

<script>

(function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['GoogleAnalyticsObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
(i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
})(window,document,'script','//www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js','ga');

 ga('create', 'UA-XXXXX', 'auto', {'allowLinker': true});

ga('require', 'linker');

ga('linker:autoLink', ['resbook.net'] );

ga('send', 'pageview');

</script>

Step 2:

Copy the finalized script above and email it to: support@tomahawk.co.nz.

The selected code will need to be inserted into the back end of ResBook to allow this to work.

Step 3:

It is recommended that you update your Referral Exclusion List in Google Analytics to include:

  • resbook.net
  • yourdomain.com
